Semi-Integrated Generation All-in-One (510C) Setup with DCS – RANGER POS

Quick Installation Guide
This document will outline the steps and requirements to setup semi-integrated 510C terminal with the DCS Ranger POS.

Equipment Required
• Gen All-in-One terminal SW ver. 10.0-16
• IP Comm Hub (Dongle)
• Power Supply
• Ethernet Cable
• Printer Paper for the Gen All-in-One terminal

Terminal Installation
Install terminal at an optimum location and ensure you have a working Ethernet port available.
Connect terminal dongle to power supply.
Connect Ethernet cable into the IP dongle port and the other end into any available Ethernet port in the Router/Switch or wall jack (consult with merchant for optimal port location).

Terminal Configuration
Once terminal has booted, the terminal will display following screen:

Note * Technician will provide the following information to the merchant if required – this information will be required by DCS assisting with the setup.

• User name: noire
• Password: each device has a unique password
• IP Address:
• Terminal ID:
• Host 1 Financial IP and Port
• Host 2 Financial IP and Port
Terminal Initialization

Once terminal is at the 'Welcome/Bonjour' screen
• Press the 'Menu' key option
• Enter Admin Password and press O key(9484623)
• Select Terminal Initialization press O key
• Clear Memory before Parameter Download? Select 'NO' – optional you may choose 'YES' to clear memory
• Enter Date (mmddyyyy) – enter current date Press O key
• Enter Time (hhmmss) – enter current time Press O key
• Enter Terminal ID (12 digit alpha numeric characters) and press O Key
• Select Terminal IP Address Assignment Mode Static IP or DHCP

o If DHCP
• Enter Host 2 IP Address 204.92.75.201 press O key
• Enter Host 2 Port 33913 press O key

o If Static – merchant must provide the following information
• Enter Terminal IP Address and Press O key
• Enter Terminal Subnet Mask and press O key
• Enter Default Gateway and press O key
• Enter Host 2 IP Address 204.92.75.201 press O key
• Enter Host 2 Port 33913 press O key

Terminal will print 'Terminal Initialization Report' once download is completed.

DCS – Terminal setup with RANGER POS

Terminal Initialization will also need to be completed through RANGERPOS application; this will be handled by DCS. If DCS support is not available please advise merchant to contact DCS or if merchant has access to the RANGER POS configuration settings.

SETUP OF TD SOLUTIONS WITH RANGERPOS
In the Ranger POS application
1. Click Setup button->Hardware->Payment Services Settings
2. Select Merchant as TD Solutions and enter the following details
 User Name
 Password
 Terminal ID
 Pin Pad IP (Refer to sample screen shot on Page 1 for the URL/IP Address displayed on the Generation terminal)
 Host1 Financial IP and Port
 Host 2 TMS IP and Port
3. Click Save Button



Other Administrative functions can also be performed through RANGER POS application such as:

• Initialization – allows you to initiate full Host1 and Host2 parameter downloads
• Batch Close – perform End of Day
• Upload Diagnostics – allows you to upload terminal diagnostic log
• Software Download – allows you to initiate a software download
• Host 1 download - allows you to perform a Host1 (Base24) parameter download
• Host 2 download - allows you to perform a Host2 (TMS) parameter download

To perform the above Administrative functions on the Ranger POS:
• In the POS screen Click -> Options Tab -> Terminal Options
• For Initialization Click -> Force Initialize Button
• For Batch Close, Click -> Batch Close/Settle button
• For Host 1, Host2, Software Download or Upload Diagnostic log Click -> Sync Settings and Select the required function



Test Generation All-in-One Semi-Integrated Terminal

Once setup is completed be sure to run the 'Initialize or a host download ' commands from the RANGER POS interface to check the terminal is communicating with the RANGER POS application prior to performing the normal financial transaction testing like Purchase, Void and Day Close to ensure terminal is functioning properly.
The following steps on how to perform financial transactions through the RANGER POS application. Please ask merchant to assist you.
Note: Receipts are not printed on the Generation device and will be printed on the merchants external receipt printer. If printing occurs on the devise please contact TDMS to disable Terminal Receipt Printing.

Purchase
A. In the POS Main Screen, select items and click Pay Button, then Select the mode of payment (Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Amex etc).
B. Another window will pop up. Default Select is Online Purchase. If it is Mail/Phone Purchase, then select Mail/Phone Option.
C. Click Sale Button, then request will be sent to the Generation device. After completing the payment process, POS system will print one receipt for Merchant and one receipt is for Customer with all details.



Refund
A. Scan the invoice/receipt for Refund and click Pay Button, then Select the mode of payment (Debit, Visa, MasterCard, Amex etc)
B. Another window will pop up. Click Refund Button, then the request will be sent to the Generation device. After completing the payment process, the POS system will print one receipt for Merchant and one is for Customer with all details.



Void
A. In the POS Screen, Click on Invoice Button. Select the invoice you want to void and click Void button
B. Another window will pop up. Click Void Button, then request will be sent to the Generation device. After completing the payment process, the POS system will print one receipt for Merchant and one is for Customer with all details.



Pre-Auth
A. Select Customer and Click on Terminal Options in the POS Screen.
B. Enter the amount for Pre-Auth and click the Pre-Auth Button. The request will be sent to the Generation device. After completing the payment process, the POS system will print the receipt.



Pre-Auth Completion
A. Select the Customer and select the order and Click Pay Button and select the Pre Auth Completion Button.



B. Enter the Pre-Auth No. and Click on Pre-Auth Completion Button.


Troubleshooting
• Please follow your standard troubleshooting process for the Generation All-in-One Semi-Integrated terminal.
• Any issues relating to communication between the device and RANGER POS contact DCS Technologies for support.
• If printing occurs on the devise please contact TDMS to disable Terminal Receipt Printing. Printing only occurs on external merchant printer.

Please note: TD is responsible for any issues with the Generation 510C terminal and set up (TMS & Base 24) and DCS is responsible for the POS solution and communication setup and opening any Ports that maybe required.
